Refworks

  • Refworks Login
    Login group code RWGradC outside library proxy server

    Refworks is housed on the RefWorks server, available from anywhere. Import citations from databases; attach PDF files. Refworks is fee-based; CUNY alumni are granted free lifetime access.
 

Zotero and WebDAV

If you are using Zotero, and need additional storage space beyond 100mb, you can use WebDAV. WebDAV is a standard protocol for transferring files over the web. The Graduate Center is now providing WebDAV storage. Please follow the instructions in document below.

Citation Managers

  • RefWorks  
      
    Online citation management licensed for all CUNY affiliates. Generate footnotes and bibliography in any writing style; organize citations and notes in your private library. RefShare allows document access for an invited group. 25 MB limit on individual file size; 5 GB individual account limit.
  • Zotero
    Free Firefox extension that imports citations, allows note-taking, keyword searching, stores attachments; 100 MB without additional fee. Zotero 2.0 syncs articles saved on the Zotero server with any Firefox browser. Cut/paste formated citations and bibliography, or use Word and OpenOffice plug-ins.
  • Zotero Libguide
    This Libguide from Metro provides a good overview and introduction on how to use to Zotero; includes screenshots.
