I am available to consult with GC students, faculty, and staff on a wide variety of scholarly communication topics, including open access, copyright, fair use, Creative Commons licenses, publication contracts, research metrics, and so-called predatory publishers. I also help GC researchers publicly
share their work, especially in
CUNY Academic Works.
I am also the subject librarian for computer science, mathematics, and philosophy, informed in this work by my study of logic and computer science. Additionally, I am the librarian for audiology and speech-language-hearing sciences, drawn to these subjects because of my personal experience with hearing loss.
My own research focus is scholarly communication, broadly construed: recent projects look at concerns surrounding open access dissertations, attitudes about practice-based library literature, and the professional experiences of hard-of-hearing librarians. My full CV is available at
